About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Fund Administration & Accounting: Coordinate with the external fund administrator for capital calls, distributions, comprehensive accounting, and NAV calculations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review regular transparent financial reports for Limited Partners (LPs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Assist in ensuring strict adherence to all US and relevant international legal and regulatory requirements, including supporting SEC filings (e.g., Form D, Form ADV Part 1A).
Tax Coordination: Liaise with external tax advisors to ensure efficient fund structuring, compliance with US tax laws, and proper handling of complex tax implications for diverse LPs.
Audit Management: Coordinate annual audits of the fund with external audit firms.
Due Diligence Support: Support the LP due diligence process by preparing and organizing financial documents and data room materials.
AML/KYC Compliance: Ensure rigorous Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are performed on all LPs, regardless of nationality.
Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement operational improvements to streamline financial processes and internal controls.
Budgeting & Expense Management: Manage the operational expenses of the General Partner entity and management company.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations within the venture capital, private equity, or asset management industry.
Strong understanding of fund structures (Limited Partnerships) and fund accounting principles.
Familiarity with U.S. securities regulations (Regulation D, Regulation S) and SEC filing requirements for investment advisers (RIA/ERA).
Experience coordinating with fund administrators, legal counsel, and tax advisors.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
